Pass Da R.O.C.K.

Date: March 2020
Client: Pass Da R.O.C.K.
Tools: Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, Keynote
Role: UI/UX, Website Redesign

I participated in a 3-day intensive Pixels & Print Design Workshop to redesign the whole brand system for local Syracuse non-profit, Pass Da R.O.C.K. whose mission is to redefine the realities of inner-city youth from desperation to hope. As a student leader in UI/UX team, I collaborated with my teammates, professional coaches and a Webflow developer to redesign and develop functioning websites accessible to our client.

Challenge of the project is to design
a better way to empower the target audience to engage with Pass Da R.O.C.K. by redesigning the website.

1. UNDERSTAND & DEFINE USER'S NEEDS

User need statements:
“A ___ needs a way to ___ so that they can ___ .”

Finalized Needs Statements

A teacher needs to feel confident in Pass Da R.O.C.K.’s capabilities so that they become advocates for the program and thus recommend students to the program.

A volunteer needs a way to learn about upcoming events so that they feel empowered to participate.

A donor needs a way to understand how their money would be used so that they feel comfortable donating.

2. SITEMAP

3. WIREFRAMES

Low-Fidelity Wireframes

High-Fidelity Wireframes

Our team translated insights into sketches and wireframes, designing the end-to-end user experience. By understanding users needs, pain points and goals, our team completely redesigned and developed a functioning website using Webflow.

I focused on the Get Involved and Donate page where users would make an action and engage with the program. Understanding the needs of each different type of user, we came up with the solution where each user can make an action to define their role and allow them to find their needs on the Get Involved page. On the Donate page, we wanted to highlight the organization's impact at a glance with transparency to increase donor engagement.
